Thanks to Carra Riley for sharing this book with us! As soon as I started reading, I knew I wasn't going to put it down and so found my cozy spot and read it all, along with taking some notes to go back to. The author gives you so much good information along with a touch of humor. My only regret is that I didn't have this 30 years ago when I was company cashier for a large corporation..........I could have used something outof it everyday and that is why I am going to make sure my family, especially the nurses and teachers have a copy.

I enjoyed Cosmic Cow Pie's conversational style and the great, easy-to-remember hooks in each chapter. The author Carra Riley uses chapter titles that are mental clothes hangers we can remember long after putting the book down, and use the concepts in a variety of situations. Then she closes each chapter with a useful summary of what was taught in the chapter. She also uses 3rd party quotes throughout, as well as personal examples from her own life, that help to make her point in each chapter. I am directly applying concepts from this book immediately, including "Always have a Plan B", "How's that workin' for ya?" and "that's not my monkey!", all of which will help me to manage some messes, and achieve more balance. Cudos to Ms Riley for giving us such a useful book.
This book is a must read. The author talks about the obstacles that all of us face in everyday life. She teaches us in practicle and easy steps how we can become very comfortable in all situations. We all have that one thing that makes us uncomfortable when ever it comes up in life. . Some of us have many things that we are just not comfortable dealing with. The author shows us how to deal with situations in a way that you never thoughtl possible. She uses humor, tragedy and some real life situatuions of her own to show us how we can deal comfortably with the everyday obstacles that we all face. I am using the principles taught and have been able to deal with two situations that came up for me in a confident way without wishing I had done better. What a confidence builder! You will learn right away that what she teaches works. You will definately want to pass this on.to your friends and family. You will read it more than once and use it as a reference for a long time to come.
Are you knee deep in self-help books wondering if you should have more intent, or let go and take the afternoon off to meditate. Do you stay up at night wondering if you swim with the sharks will they all start calling you "chum"?
Stop obsessing and get your hands on this book. "Cosmic Cow Pie...Connecting the Dots" cuts through the, shall we say "bovine debris". The author makes sense of what can be an overwhelming and sometimes conflicting morass of opinions on self-help and empowerment. It's a useful handbook for life on this planet.
Bottom line Carra Riley has a gift for making goal setting and living with purpose clear. So, get the book and a good night's sleep.

Cosmic Cow Pie has provided me with the necessary ammunition to handle unexpected situations, unplanned events and people's behaviors that would have otherwise thrown me off. After reading this book I definitely feel empowered and more in control of my life. I am sure that after reading Cosmic Cow Pie you will say, like me "I wish I had read it a long time ago!"

It is an amazing book, so easy to read and understand.

I tend to forget that common sense really isn't "common". In "Cosmic Cow Pie...Connecting The Dots" Carra Riley humorously spells out simple rules for living a balanced life - immediate help for those of us who don't intuitively know or haven't quite figured out how to do the right thing to stay on an even keel. Just today I explained the SW3N principle to a young gal who was worried about what people thought of her and having a Plan B rescued today's activities when Plan A was nixed due to weather. A great read for anyone who is stressed out or who has lost their perspective in a too-hectic life.
I both have the book and Audio version and had the opportunity to listen, along with 5 dear friends, to this entire CD while driving home last night from a conference. You know how it is with 6 women in the car, everyone wants to chatter and tell stories. Not here! We were all mesmerized with Carra's voice and thoroughly enjoyed the rich and down-to-earth stories and words of support, encouragement and even some "get over it" talk. We did interject a few comments here and there and confirmed that what Carra was saying was spot on, most of the time we were quiet and introspective. I think we all could relate to what Carra said and were taking time to internalize. As for myself, there was so much great content. Even though at the time I wasn't focused on certain aspects of my life, when Carra would be talking about how one should "Build a bridge and get over it" and being "Kicked to the Curb" (or, in cases, having to be the one to do the kicking), it would just hit me that that is exactly what needed to be done.
Thank you, Ms. Riley, for the wonderful and enlightening book and CD. I am getting ready to leave for a weeks vacation and I will definitely be packing this in my carry on so that I can keep up the momentum!
